I wanted to purchase a quality electric shaver, and after much debate I decided to go with the Philips Norelco 1280X/47 SensoTouch 3D Electric Razor. It had mixed reviews but I figured it was normal people who are expecting a miracle smooth as a baby's butt from Grizzly Adams beard. I am lazy and shaving is one of the things I hate.

This is the best shaver one can get, Excellent for the Money, Great shave. My wife now wants me to shave everyday. My level of hairiness is about 8 out of 10, I am the hairiest person most people know and my beard is thick, plus I am balding so I use the Norelco to shave my head as well. The Philips Norelco 1280X/47 SensoTouch 3D Electric Razor price is a little higher than I would have liked to spend, but the razor shaves very well and does not irritate my skin nearly as much as other electric razors I have owned.

I've had the Norelco 1280X/47 SensoTouch Razor for over 2 years now. I still like the razor and the Jet Clean system a lot and would recommend it to friends and family. I actually did buy one for my Dad for Christmas and he really likes his too.

On the smoother parts of your face (like the cheeks and under your nose on the upper lip) is where the Braun does best. On your chin and especailly the neck area the Norelco is far better. The Philips Norelco 1280X/47 SensoTouch gives you a more uniform shave on all parts of your face. The razor itself is easier to hold and use, and is much lighter and quieter than the Braun.

The pivoting head of the razor allows it to get a closer shave than the older style electric razors, and the cleaning station does a very good job of charging and cleaning the heads after use. The unit cleans very easily by running hot water on the blades for a few minutes, after which you can open up the blades (they flip up) and continue to rinse.

It's recommended that you do this after every shave, but who wants to do that every morning, right before work (not me, anyway)?
